My Love
My Love: Poetry & Prose is a collection of written poems by Elijah Napuri. These beautiful poems were crafted out of all his experiences in life. He never dreamed of writing books, but he had a mind full of ideas and emotions. And the only way to get this out is to write this on pen and paper. That is how this book was magically made.

Elijah Napuri
I grew up in two cities, one was Baldwin Park, California and the other was Pasadena, California. I got very familiar with both cities because my parents never got married and split up just when I was born, so naturally I had to bounce back and forth between the two. I didn’t have a terrible childhood but just like any other lower middle class kid, I constantly wished and dreamed of something better. That’s where my writing came into play. Although I never had any kind of aspirations of being a writer when I was younger, I always used to notice that it came so naturally. I’ve always felt like I had a head full of ideas and a heart full of emotions, and if I didn’t get them out somehow I was going to lose them, so I had to do something about it. I had no idea coming into this that something so simple and essential like a pen and paper can mean so much. But I’m glad I found it and I’m glad it found me and that’s something I intend on forever keeping.
Who Cares
from Los Angeles, California
The band started sometime in late 2019 when Omar Sandlin the lead singer and guitar player found a flyer I put up at Amoeba Hollywood and called me the next morning after he found it. We met at a guitar center near me in Pasadena where I used to live at the time and from there we went to a bar for a drink and the rest is history. We’ve been through so many members on different instruments and initially Omar didn’t play guitar but we got to the point where we’ve been disappointed so many times by different people that we realized the music should be coming out of us and us only in the first place. So before a show we had booked Omar learned all the songs we had up to that point the morning of the show, we let go of this other guitar player we had, and we went on as a three piece that night and that’s the night we say Who Cares was officially born (January 17th 2020)
We’ve been through so many members as I’ve said but the ones I want to give an honorable mention would be our former lead guitar player Mason Mangan and our former drummer and good friend of ours Clemente Rodriguez, who is also in a badass hardcore band called Pull Your Card which you should also definitely check out.
Out of all the members that came and went our newest one would be Abimael Cruz who is now our drummer. One of the best in Los Angeles I might add. He’s been in so many bands and projects over the years but a notorious one for him would be the legendary RISK from Mid City, Los Angeles. Look them up as well, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
We’re a three piece band who is constantly writing new material and always planning for bigger and better shows. So if you’re ever in Los Angeles be sure to be on the lookout for us because we’ll definitely be around.
